The Vampire Lovers

(1970)Directed by Roy Ward Baker91 min · RHorror
“An erotic nightmare of tormented lusts that throb in headless, undead bodies!”

In Styria, the Karnstein family keeps rising from its tombs to feed on the countryside, until Baron Hartog, who has lost his own family to them, opens the graves and drives a stake through each heart. One grave he never finds is that of Mircalla Karnstein. Years later, in Roy Ward Baker's film, she returns as Carmilla (Ingrid Pitt) and moves into the household of Emma Morton (Madeline Smith), wanting blood and meaning to avenge her family.
