The Vanquished

Three young people in three cities each end up tied to a killing, and the film never explains how they got there. In Paris, two schoolboys, with Pierre (Jean-Pierre Mocky) among them, plan to murder a classmate for his money. Antonioni keeps a cold, even distance across Paris, Rome and London, while a cigarette smuggler and an unemployed man with a story to sell wait to find out what their choices will cost.
