The Very Thought of You

“Two's Company. Three's a Crowd. Four's a Disaster.”

Laurence (Joseph Fiennes) tells his neighbour how three days upended his friendship with Frank (Rufus Sewell) and Daniel (Tom Hollander), after each of them met Martha (Monica Potter), an American tourist in London. She has no idea the three men have known each other since childhood. Nick Hamm lets the story jump back and forth in time, and what it comes down to is how easily a long friendship gives way once everyone wants the same person.
