A slave with no known past and a prince with a temper end up in the same Viking hall, and neither knows they share a bloodline with the other. Einar (Kirk Douglas), the heir to Ragnar (Ernest Borgnine), and the clever Eric (Tony Curtis) both want the English captive Morgana (Janet Leigh). Richard Fleischer shot it in Norway's fjords, and the throne, the woman and Eric's life all ride on one rivalry.
