The Visitors

“Every one wants to turn his back on violence until it knocks at his front door.”

On a quiet winter Sunday, Bill Schmidt (James Woods) is home with his wife Martha (Patricia Joyce) and their small child when Mike Nickerson (Steve Railsback) and Tony Rodrigues (Chico Martínez) knock at the door. Bill served with them in Vietnam, and the three ended up on opposite sides of a court martial, a reason he never explained to Martha. Kazan keeps the visit inside the house, and Martha watches her husband's face and starts to wonder who she married.
