The Wall

Boys between thirteen and nineteen are locked behind bars in a Turkish prison, where beatings, torture and sexual abuse are the daily terms of their sentence. Tonton Ali (Tuncel Kurtiz) and L'Arabe (Malik Berrichi) are among those inside, and their days are measured in what the guards and older inmates can do to them. Yılmaz Güney, who wrote the film from his own time in prison for a capital offense, made it in France and dedicated it to these boys.
