The War Game

“BBC TV's film about a nuclear attack on Britain”

A Chinese invasion of South Vietnam sets off a war between East and West, and in Rochester, Kent, people are evacuated as a nuclear strike draws near. Peter Watkins shoots it as a news report, with a commentator (Michael Aspel) reading out the preparations while ordinary residents answer an interviewer's questions. Neighbors who share a street and a ration queue are left depending on one another when the supplies start to run short.
