“Only the past can help you solve the future”

In a Spanish thriller from 2018, ten-year-old Nico (Hugo Arbues) opens a letter that says his life is in danger. The adults around him, his mother Lucía (Aura Garrido) among them, wave it away, and the only person who takes him seriously is someone he has never met. Daniel Calparsoro lets the dread build slowly, keeping the camera close on a family that cannot see what the boy sees.
