The Way

“You don't choose a life. You live one.”

In the French Pyrenees, a pilgrim trail called the Camino de Santiago has just claimed the life of a young hiker. His father, Tom (Martin Sheen), flies over to collect the remains and instead decides to walk the 500 miles to Spain himself. Emilio Estevez directs his own father through the mountains, where Tom falls in with other walkers and starts to learn who his son was by carrying him along the route.
