“We've all been there.”

The summer in Wareham, Massachusetts, begins with a long drive and a car seat Duncan (Liam James) is too old to be stuck in. He is fourteen and shy, sharing a beach house with his mother Pam (Toni Collette), her boyfriend Trent (Steve Carell) and Trent's daughter. Directors Nat Faxon and Jim Rash send him to Owen (Sam Rockwell) at the Water Wizz park, where Duncan has to decide whether he can keep both places.
