The Way We Were

“Everything seemed so important then... even love!”

What could bring Katie Morosky (Barbra Streisand), a politically active Jew who fights for every cause on campus, together with Hubbell Gardner (Robert Redford), a feckless WASP who gets by on ease? Sydney Pollack follows them from their college days to a second meeting after World War II, when each is still the person the other remembers. It is a love between two people who want different lives, with each trying to bend toward the other.
