Mary Fiore (Jennifer Lopez) is San Francisco's premiere wedding planner, a woman who runs other people's biggest days down to the minute. A man pulls her out of an accident, and Steve Edison (Matthew McConaughey), a pediatrician, turns out to be the groom in her newest job. Adam Shankman puts them in one awkward spot after another, with the wedding date drawing closer and Mary's name and her business both riding on it.
