The Wendell Baker Story

“Why not call him a hero?”

Wendell Baker (Luke Wilson) walks out of prison with a clean record going forward and a job waiting at a retirement hotel. Three of the elderly residents take to him, and Luke and Andrew Wilson, who directed together, build the film around their odd, easygoing friendship. His girlfriend Doreen (Eva Mendes) is slipping away, and the hotel's corruption is only making it harder to keep his footing.
