The Wheelchair

In 1960 Madrid, retired Don Anselmo (José Isbert) sees that every one of his pensioner friends owns a motorized invalid carriage, and he wants one too. His family, including his son Carlos (Pedro Porcel), refuses to pay for a vehicle he has no medical need of. Marco Ferreri, working from Rafael Azcona's novel, follows an old man whose wish gets so stubborn that he starts planning what he will do to get it.
