“Nothing is more dangerous than the truth.”

In 1999, Bosnia is still picking itself up after the war, and a Nebraska police officer named Kathryn Bolkovac (Rachel Weisz) takes a job there as a United Nations peacekeeper. She is assigned to investigate abuse, and her files soon lead to a sex trafficking ring in which international personnel are involved. Larysa Kondracki follows Kathryn as she keeps pushing, though each step puts her own safety further at risk.
