The Whole Town's Talking

(1935)Directed by John Ford93 minComedy, Crime
“The most exciting picture in a decade..Inspired by the biggest front page sensation in recent years”

Arthur Ferguson Jones (Edward G. Robinson) is a clerk who is never late and has never had anything happen to him, until the morning he oversleeps and gets fired. Then he is arrested, mistaken for the escaped killer Mannion, who looks exactly like him, and the police hand him a special pass so it never happens again. John Ford directs the comedy at a brisk run, with Robinson playing both men and Jean Arthur beside him.
