The Wild Blue Yonder

The Alien (Brad Dourif) wants someone to hear how his people lost their world, a planet now dying, and he tells it directly to the camera. Werner Herzog sets the account beside footage of astronauts, among them a commander (Donald Williams) and a physician (Ellen Baker), who are searching space for somewhere survivors from Earth might live. Dourif's narrator is a stranded witness, speaking of the people he watched and could not save.
