The Wild Geese

Col. Allen Faulkner (Richard Burton) is pulled out of retirement in London by Sir Edward Matherson (Stewart Granger), who wants a band of mostly aging mercenaries flown into central Africa to bring out an imprisoned opposition leader before he is executed. Andrew V. McLaglen builds the team man by man, with Rafer Janders (Richard Harris) among them. The leader they are sent to save is critically ill, and the men are older than the work requires.
