“It brings all your fantasies to life.”

Bill Conrad (Eric Stoltz) wants a place of his own, and his new apartment is the first real step toward it. Around him, his brother Jim (Ilan Mitchell-Smith) keeps stirring up trouble, Tom Drake (Chris Penn) goes at everything full tilt, and Anita (Lea Thompson) is seeing an older man named David. Art Linson directs from a Cameron Crowe script, letting these friends' lives crowd in on each other.
