The Wild Pear Tree

“All these small-minded, bigoted people like peas in a pod.”

Sinan (Doğu Demirkol) comes home to his village fresh out of university, certain he is a writer and sure that his book only needs printing. Nuri Bilge Ceylan follows him as he goes door to door looking for the money, and as he meets old friends who no longer see him the way he sees himself. His father İdris (Murat Cemcir) is a gambler, and Sinan has to decide how much of the book he can finish before that habit takes what he is trying to save.
