The Wild Robot

(2024)Directed by Chris Sanders102 min · PGFamily, Animation, Science Fiction, Adventure
“Discover your true nature.”

No one on the island knows what to make of the metal creature that washed ashore after the shipwreck, least of all the creature itself. Roz (Lupita Nyong'o) is a service robot built to follow orders, and the animals around her, including a sly fox named Fink (Pedro Pascal), have none to give. Chris Sanders sets her down beside an orphaned gosling, and the film treats raising a child as a skill a machine can learn by doing it.
