The Wind Will Carry Us

Behzad (Behzad Dorani) drives into a Kurdish village in Iran with a small crew, posing as an engineer, to wait out the final days of an old woman and film the mourning that follows. Her death keeps not coming, so he stays on, cell phone in hand, climbing the hill whenever he needs a signal. Kiarostami films the village from a distance, in long shots where people cross the frame slowly and the hillside is always in view.
