The Windermere Children

A group of child survivors of the Holocaust arrive on the shores of Lake Windermere, where the staff of a camp at the Calgarth Estate, among them Oscar Friedmann (Thomas Kretschmann) and Marie Paneth (Romola Garai), want to help them rebuild their lives. Michael Samuels follows the children and the adults caring for them as they settle into a new country. Berish Lerner (Marcel Sabat) is one of the boys on the lakeshore.
