The Wing or the Thigh?

Charles Duchemin (Louis de Funès) edits a famous restaurant guide and has declared war on Jacques Tricatel (Julien Guiomar), whose fast-food empire is eating into French cooking. Claude Zidi sets him up for a talk show appearance where he will name dishes and wines by taste alone, only for Charles to lose his sense of taste. His son Gérard (Coluche) wants to be a clown, not an inspector, and the guide's reputation rests on a palate that has stopped working.
