The Witches

“A STRANGER IN A TOWN THAT HAS LOST ITS MIND... IF SHE'S NOT CAREFUL, SHE MAY LOSE HERS TOO!”

Gwen Mayfield (Joan Fontaine) takes the post of head teacher in the village of Haddaby after a nervous breakdown, hoping the quiet will mend her. Cyril Frankel sets the place out as an ordinary English village, with neighbors who are friendly and always close by. Gwen settles in, and then she starts noticing what the villagers keep from her, and what she cannot stop herself from asking.
