The Wizard of Gore

“Is It Magic? Or Wholesale Slaughter?”

In 1970, the stage show of Montag the Magnificent (Ray Sager) runs on illusions that leave volunteers from the audience bloodied before a live crowd. Sherry Carson (Judy Cler), a talk show hostess, and her boyfriend Jack (Wayne Ratay) set out to learn how the magician hypnotizes people and bends their thoughts. Herschell Gordon Lewis stays on Sager at the footlights, the volunteers fixed and silent while Montag works.
