The Woman in the Window
“It was the look in her eyes that made him think of murder.”
A psychology professor, Richard Wanley (Edward G. Robinson), has his family away on vacation and an evening to himself. He meets Alice Reed (Joan Bennett), the young woman in a portrait he keeps passing, and a night of talk ends with a man dead and a death he has to hide. Fritz Lang watches the two of them closely, and everything between them is secrecy and fear.
