The Woman Who Left

In 1997, a Philippine woman walks out of prison after thirty years inside for a murder she did not commit. Horacia Somorostro (Charo Santos) learns that her friend and fellow inmate was the one who did it, then sets out to find the ex-lover who framed her. Lav Diaz holds the long shots in black and white, so that Horacia keeps walking, and we keep watching her go.
