The Woodsman

“Nothing can undo the past.”

Walter (Kevin Bacon) walks out of prison after twelve years with nobody waiting for him but his brother-in-law, and a secret he can't afford to have found out. He takes an apartment, a job at a lumber mill, and a coworker, Vicki (Kyra Sedgwick), who starts to take an interest in him. Nicole Kassell keeps close on his face as the parole visits and the glimpses of a schoolyard across the street pull him back toward the thing he's trying to stay away from.
