The World to Come

Abigail (Katherine Waterston) keeps a diary through the hard winters of 1856, writing out her days on a remote farm with her husband Dyer (Casey Affleck). Then Tallie (Vanessa Kirby) and her husband Finney (Christopher Abbott) move onto the neighboring land, the only other people for miles. Mona Fastvold lets the friendship grow slowly, in borrowed visits across the fields, until what passes between the two women is more than company.
