A new gang is working London, dressing as police officers and robbing the city's own crooks. Pearly Gates (Peter Sellers), a well-mannered criminal boss, and Inspector Fred 'Nosey' Parker (Lionel Jeffries) both want it stopped, so the two sides agree to team up against the impostors. Cliff Owen plays it on the old understanding that thieves and police each keep to their own side of the line.
