The Wrong Man

Someone has robbed an insurance office at gunpoint, and the clerks who saw him point at Manny Balestrero (Henry Fonda), a musician who plays bass at the Stork Club, in 1953. Alfred Hitchcock, working from a true story, follows him from the station house to the courtroom with almost no flourish. The weight falls on his wife Rose (Vera Miles), who has to watch the man she married become a stranger.
