The Year My Parents Went on Vacation

Mauro (Michel Joelsas), a boy in Brazil in 1970, is told his parents have gone on vacation, then dropped at his grandfather's door in a Jewish neighborhood. The grandfather is not there, and the World Cup is about to start while a dictatorship runs the country. Cao Hamburger leaves Mauro in the care of Shlomo (Germano Haiut), a neighbor he has never met, and the two have to work out how to live in the same small apartment.
