The Year of the Cannibals

Hundreds of young bodies lie in the streets of a damp Milan, and a law passed by the State forbids anyone from burying them. Antigone (Britt Ekland) breaks it anyway, helped by a foreigner, Tiresia (Pierre Clémenti), and sets herself against the order that made the rule. Liliana Cavani takes the Greek tragedy of Antigone and sets it among the protests and the grain of 1969.
