The Yellow Mercedes

In 1993, Bayram (İlyas Salman) spends his savings on a second-hand yellow Mercedes and sets out from Germany for the Turkish border, then on to his village near Ankara. It is his first trip home since leaving as a laborer, and Tunç Okan, adapting Adalet Ağaoğlu's novel, lets the road open onto flashbacks of his childhood and the years that sent him away. Behind the wheel of the car he bought to arrive in, Bayram carries all of it with him.
