The Young Karl Marx

Karl Marx (August Diehl), twenty-six, leaves for exile with his wife Jenny (Vicky Krieps) and lands in Paris in 1844, short of money and wanted by the censors. There he meets Friedrich Engels (Stefan Konarske), an industrialist's son who has been writing up how the British working class actually lives. Raoul Peck follows their partnership as the question of who owns the work, and who gets paid for it, becomes the argument of the age.
