Theater Camp

“You only fit in by acting out.”

Joan, the founder of AdirondACTS, a scrappy theater camp in upstate New York, collapses into a coma just before summer begins. Her son Troy Rubinsky (Jimmy Tatro), a crypto-bro with no stage experience, is left to run the place alongside counselors like Amos (Ben Platt) and Rebecca-Diane (Molly Gordon). Gordon and Nick Lieberman film it as a mockumentary, and it treats the earnest commitment of these kids and their teachers as a thing worth protecting.
