There's Always Vanilla

(1971)Directed by George A. Romero93 min · RComedy, Drama, Romance
“Every woman knows why the wrong man is irresistible!”

Nobody in Pittsburgh can say why Chris Bradley (Raymond Laine) came back from his stint away, or why he drifts so easily into the home of Lynn Harris (Judith Ridley), an older woman who starts supporting him. George A. Romero, better known for horror, shoots this one as a loose romantic comedy, with Johanna Lawrence and Roger McGovern around the edges. What grows between Chris and Lynn is a lopsided arrangement, one of them giving and the other mostly taking.
