There's Still Tomorrow

“The Italian phenomenon.”

Delia (Paola Cortellesi) wants a better life for her daughter Marcella (Romana Maggiora Vergano), and she wants it in postwar Rome, where she is married to Ivano (Valerio Mastandrea), a man who hits her and expects his dinner on the table. She keeps the household running, takes odd jobs, and stays close to her friend Marisa (Emanuela Fanelli). Cortellesi, directing for the first time, shoots it in black-and-white and lets the comedy sit right beside the bruises.
