“Beware cheap imitations.”

In a Black neighborhood called The Glen, the days run on a loop of corner stores, church services and low-level hustles. Fontaine (John Boyega), a dealer who knows everybody's business, ends up chasing strange events alongside a pimp, Slick Charles (Jamie Foxx), and a sharp-tongued Yo-Yo (Teyonah Parris). Juel Taylor's debut puts all three on a trail that leads somewhere under their own streets, and the people running it will not let them walk away.
