In New York in 2010, the music journalist Jeff Harris (Jeff Goldblum) sets out to learn what happened to Francisco Tenório Júnior, a young Brazilian samba-jazz pianist who vanished in Buenos Aires on March 18, 1976. Fernando Trueba and Javier Mariscal build the search from interviews and the voice of Vinicius de Moraes in archive audio. Jeff keeps asking, and the piano of a missing man sits somewhere behind every answer.
