“A Tribute to Those Who Did So Much... With So Little!”

In the Philippines in 1941, Navy brass watch a demonstration of the new PT boats and stay unconvinced, which leaves Lt. "Rusty" Ryan (John Wayne) frustrated. After Pearl Harbor, he and Lt. Brickley (Robert Montgomery) finally get orders to take their squadron into battle, and John Ford follows the boats as they shoot down planes and go after enemy ships. Every win brings the Japanese invasion closer, and the men are fighting with whatever they have left.
