Thin Ice

“Greetings from Kenosha, WI! Where Ordinary Folks Can Make a Killing”

Mickey Prohaska (Greg Kinnear), an insurance salesman in a Wisconsin town, spends the winter bending the truth to close sales and keep a failing business going. He sees a way out in a rare violin owned by the reclusive farmer Gorvy Hauer (Alan Arkin), and he takes it up with Randy (Billy Crudup), a man who frightens him. Jill Sprecher keeps him squarely in frame, cold, jumpy and sure he can talk his way through one more problem.
