Things We Lost in the Fire

“Hope comes with letting go.”

Audrey Burke (Halle Berry) buries her husband, Steven (David Duchovny), then makes a call that surprises everyone around her. She asks Jerry Sunborne (Benicio del Toro), Steven's oldest friend and a man still fighting his own addiction, to move into the spare room with her and her two kids. Susanne Bier puts the two of them in the same house, grieving the same man, each needing the other to get through the days.
