Thirteen Days

“You'll never believe how close we came.”

Kenneth O'Donnell (Kevin Costner) is a special assistant to President John F. Kennedy (Bruce Greenwood), a man who spends his days managing the people and the paper that reach the Oval Office. In October 1962, U.S. surveillance finds Soviet missile bases on Cuba, and Roger Donaldson follows the White House as it has thirteen days to respond. O'Donnell sits in the rooms where the Kennedys argue with the generals, and the job becomes keeping his friend steady.
