This Is Our Land

In a former steelworking town in northern France, Pauline Duhez (Émilie Dequenne) visits the sick and elderly as a home nurse, then goes home to her two children and her father, a retired steelworker. Lucas Belvaux follows her as the directors of an extremist party notice how many people in town trust her and ask her to run for mayor. The question the film puts to her is what she will owe those who offer her the chance.
