This Is Spinal Tap

“Prepare to crank those amps up to eleven.”

Nigel Tufnel (Christopher Guest) and David St. Hubbins (Michael McKean) have led the British heavy metal band Spinal Tap for decades, through gold albums, name changes and a long list of drummers. Now they head out on an American tour to promote a new record, with bassist Derek Smalls (Harry Shearer) beside them. Rob Reiner appears as the filmmaker Marty DiBergi and shoots the whole thing in the flat style of a straight music documentary.
