This Magnificent Cake!

In 1885, Africa is a cake to be sliced up, and a disturbed European king is not the only one with a fork. Emma De Swaef and Marc James Roels follow his appetite alongside a Pygmy working in a luxury hotel, a lonely businessman, an enslaved porter, and a young army deserter. The stop-motion figures stand in their cramped rooms and jungle paths, a ghostly clarinetist playing somewhere among them.
