This Man Must Die

Charles Thenier (Michel Duchaussoy) wants one thing after a hit-and-run takes his young son, and that is to find the driver and kill him. A chance meeting with the actress Hélène Lanson (Caroline Cellier), who was in the car, leads him to her brother-in-law, Paul Decourt (Jean Yanne), a man who is plainly horrible. Claude Chabrol keeps the grief close, a father with a plan and nothing else left in his hands.
