Those Who Love Me Can Take the Train

Everyone in this circle of friends, lovers and exes wants to get to Limoges for the burial of the painter Jean-Baptiste Emmerich (Jean-Louis Trintignant). They board the same train, and the old attachments, the long-kept secrets and the half-dead desires travel with them. Patrice Chéreau puts Claire (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi) and the rest in the family home after the funeral, where the grief starts to cost them their closest ties.
